The Schools Activities For The Month of July & August We have many activities throughout the school year. For the months of july and August, we have: 1. Mastery Test. Mastery test is the day where you have test in three subjects every first to fourth quarter in which there is an alternating schedule. It will happen on July 24.  2. Nutrition Month. Its the day where you cook the best foods you could do. Also, there is a friendly competition categorized into grades 4-6 (elementary), grades 7-10 (junior high school)  and grades 11-12 (senior high school) for cooking and table set-up. There is another competition called poster making (self explanatory). For the senior high, they have a competition called nutri-jingle. Well, it is a competition where they will use their own music or using the new songs but they are the ones who's going to compose the lyrics, and their song is mostly about nutrition (of course). 3. Our Daily Routines In our school we have activities that we do each day. Here it is: 1 .  Morning assembly . Here we have singing of the national anthem along with the Notre Dame March which is sung in every Notre Dame school. The announcements for the day  2. Offering of the flowers . This is done every Wednesday of the week. The birthday celebrators of the week offer flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary. 3. Praying of the rosary . We do it everyday in the morning before the classes start. 4. 5. Recess . Here we go to the canteen or stay at our room, like what we said in the other blog our canteen is always full of students. And the food of the canteen is delicious. 6. More class.  7.  Lunch . Here we eat our rice and i love it! We have 1 hour break at noon to have our lunch and rest too . 8. Even more class 9. Dismissal

The School's Facilities There are many facilities here in Notre Dame-Siena. A few of these are the computer labs and the canteen. Here is the entire list of facilities: 1. Classrooms . Here we learn about many things in life as well as major, minor and Science curriculum subjects. The sections are named by saint. A few of the saints are St. Catherine of Siena and St. Dominic de Guzman in the Grade 10 level. They all have air conditioning units. :) 2. Canteen . The canteen is always jam-packed every recess and lunch time. The food here are either made by the staff or bought (example: SkyFlakes). They are all delicious! Better run for a seat because when you come late, you won't have one. 3. AraLinks Hub . This is our room wherein we use tablets and play games and activities about our lessons. There is a national competition using the AraLinks website. This competition is all about technology from laptops to building working robot easily. Okay. Back to the room. It is a...

The Rich History of Notre Dame-Siena Our school is made of two different schools who merged more than 10 years ago namely Notre Dame of Lagao for Girls and Notre Dame Dadiangas for Girls. This all started on the year 1953 when Brother Damian Teston, FMS, Director of Notre Dame of Lagao, opened two extensions in the old church of Dadiangas. Two years after,  Notre Dame of Dadiangas was opened with Brother Michael O’keefe, FMS, as Director/Principal. All of the clases  were held in 8 improvised classrooms of sawali and cogon, which are kinds of wood, constructed in the current site of  Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Church which is in Roxas Avenue, General Santos City.
